This notice explains how FORGED PERSPECTIVE intends to handle personal information when you visit this website or submit a project enquiry. It is written for a South African audience and is intended to support compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Pre-launch completion required. Before this notice is published to the public, the studio operator must insert its full legal name, operating address and a working privacy contact method, verify the final hosting and email providers, and confirm the retention periods and operational procedures described here.

1. Who is responsible?

FORGED PERSPECTIVE is the name used for this architectural visualisation studio. The person or legal entity operating the studio is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website. The operator's full legal name, physical or business address, and privacy contact details must be completed here before public launch.

2. Information we may collect

If you submit the project enquiry form, the information requested may include your name, email address, company or practice, project location, selected service, target timeline and the project description you choose to provide. Please do not submit identity documents, payment-card details, passwords or confidential technical files through the initial enquiry form.

Our hosting provider may also process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps and server logs for website delivery, security and troubleshooting.

3. Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond to your request, understand the project, prepare or discuss a quotation, communicate about potential or agreed services, maintain business records and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use the enquiry form to subscribe you to newsletters or unrelated marketing.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers who help operate the website, handle form submissions, provide business email or deliver an agreed service. This website is prepared for static hosting with Netlify Forms; if that setup is used, Netlify will process website and form-submission information under its own terms and privacy practices. The final provider list must be confirmed and kept current before launch.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or with your instruction. We will limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

5. Cross-border processing

Some hosting, email or software providers may store or process information outside South Africa. Before using a provider, we must assess its security, contractual safeguards, location and the requirements of POPIA for cross-border transfers. The final list of providers and relevant transfer arrangements should be available on request.

6. Security and confidentiality

We intend to use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information handled, including access controls, strong authentication, secure connections and appropriate backup and incident procedures. No website or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send highly sensitive or confidential drawings through the first-contact form. A suitable file-transfer method and confidentiality terms should be agreed before exchanging sensitive project material.

7. Retention

Enquiry information should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage a potential or active business relationship, resolve disputes and comply with legal record-keeping duties. The studio must maintain and apply a documented retention and deletion schedule. Information that is no longer required should be securely deleted or de-identified, subject to lawful retention requirements.

8. Your rights

Subject to the conditions and limitations in POPIA and other applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask for correction or deletion, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Cookies and tracking

The website build currently contains no advertising pixels, analytics trackers, social-media tracking scripts or third-party video embeds. It does not intentionally set optional analytics or marketing cookies. The hosting provider may use technical logs or strictly necessary technologies to deliver and protect its service. See the Cookie Notice for more detail. If optional tracking is added later, this notice and the site's consent controls must be updated before it is activated.

10. Children

This website is intended for adults and business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek to collect children's personal information.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services, systems, providers or legal obligations change. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date.

12. Contact and privacy requests

To ask a privacy question or exercise a data-subject right, use the website enquiry form and clearly mark the message “Privacy request”. The operator must add a dedicated, monitored privacy contact address and any required Information Officer details here before public launch. You may also contact the Information Regulator through its official website at inforegulator.org.za.
